Complete guide to metro, buses, taxis, and other transport options from the airport.

Dubai Metro - Fast and Affordable

The Dubai Metro Red Line serves Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 directly, with trains running every few minutes from 5:30 AM to midnight (extended hours on weekends). A single journey to downtown Dubai costs around AED 8-15 depending on zones. Purchase a Nol Card for convenient travel across all public transport.

Airport Taxis

Official Dubai Taxi Corporation vehicles are available 24/7 outside all terminals. A trip to Downtown Dubai or Dubai Marina typically costs AED 80-120. Look for the cream-colored taxis with the official Dubai Taxi branding. Airport pickup has a AED 25 flag fall.

Bus Services

RTA operates several bus routes from DXB, including the 401 to Al Satwa and the C1 to Dubai Mall/Business Bay. Buses are air-conditioned and accept Nol Cards. From DWC, the F55 connects to Ibn Battuta Metro Station.

Ride-Hailing Apps

Uber and Careem operate at designated pickup points at all terminals. Prices are competitive with taxis, and the apps provide fare estimates upfront. During peak times, ride-hailing can be more convenient than waiting in taxi queues.
